Promotion and Education
The Promotion and Education Committee believes the best way to teach people about the important role agriculture plays in all our lives is by educating our children.

But promotion and education efforts don't stop at educating about agriculture. North Dakota Farm Bureau's P&E Committee also provides scholarships and other learning opportunities.

Youth Leadership Conference
The NDFB Youth Leadership Conference is an exciting opportunity for 6, 7 and 8th graders to learn about their leadership potential. Our young people will:
  • Learn more about your leadership style
  • Explore career ideas
  • Learn how to resolve conflict
  • Take an “after dark” business tour
  • Meet new friends from across the state.

Food, Land & People - The hands-on lessons of this program are objective in content and promote the development of critical thinking skills so that students can better understand the interrelationships among the environment, agriculture and people of the world. NDFB coordinates FLP workshops for the North Dakota Ag in the Classroom Council.

Teacher Resources - The P&E Committee provides teacher resources to help educators achieve their required standards and benchmarks.

Safety - Through education, North Dakota Farm Bureau's safety program helps thousands of individuals become more aware of a variety of dangers on the farm and in the household.

For instance, how much do you know about hearing protection? Play the JeopEARdy Hearing Game to find out.

Scholarships - The P&E Committee oversees a variety of scholarships to help those not only studying for careers, but for those who are attending college to change careers. Click here for information on the scholarships.
