NDFB Week Safety Tip #4

NDFB Week Safety Tip #4

What could possibly be dangerous about a cute, little newborn calf? Well, for starters, its mom feels very protective of her newborn and will do anything to keep it safe. Any animal with a newborn should be considered dangerous.

However, other farm animals are also very protective of the area in which they live, and may become aggressive, especially during feeding time.

Animals are unpredictable. That's why, as Safety Sam (NDFB's safety mascot) says, "It makes sense to stay outside the fence."
