Moist Peach Coffee Cake

This peach coffee cake is one of those simple recipes that works just as well for a Sunday brunch as it does for an afternoon snack with a cup of coffee. My family rarely waits for a special occasion to enjoy it, and it usually disappears quickly once it is out of the oven.

The cake is moist and tender, with fresh peaches throughout and a sweet, caramelized topping that adds just the right amount of richness. Be sure to use ripe, flavorful peaches, since they are the star of the recipe. I bake mine in a 10-inch springform pan, but a round cake pan or 9-by-9-inch baking dish will also work.
