Additional blizzard relief donations sent
Five county Farm Bureaus have donated nearly $4,000 to the North Dakota Farm Bureau Foundation to assist those impacted by last October’s Atlas blizzard. Combined with more than $7,500 sent in January, the South Dakota Farm Bureau Cares fund will receive $11,500 from members of North Dakota Farm Bureau.
“We’re extremely proud of all the counties that donated to support those ranch families in the rebuilding process,” said NDFB Executive Vice President Jeffrey Missling. “Farm Bureau has such an outstanding network of people willing and ready to help others in need.”
Emmons County Farm Bureau, Stutsman County Farm Bureau, Mercer County Farm Bureau, Cass County Farm Bureau and Griggs County Farm Bureau were the latest counties donating to the relief effort. They join Pembina County Farm Bureau, Towner County Farm Bureau, McIntosh County Farm Bureau, and the NDFB Foundation.
The NDFB Foundation was established by the North Dakota Farm Bureau Board of Directors in 2002. Directors of the Foundation are members of the North Dakota Farm Bureau board of directors. For more information, go to www.ndfb.org/foundation.
