County FB wins trip to national annual meeting
Dickey County Farm Bureau will be bringing its successful membership recruitment campaign to the American Farm Bureau Federation annual meeting in Atalanta, Georgia, in January as part of the County Activities of Excellence (CAE) program.
"The County Activities of Excellence program is designed to celebrate and recognize innovative, action-oriented programs developed by county Farm Bureaus," said North Dakota Farm Bureau Leadership Development Director John Jacobson.
Dickey County Farm Bureau developed a membership retention and acquisition program that was a series of postcards designed to explain what Farm Bureau is and what it does for Farm Bureau members in the county. The first post card highlighted some of beliefs of the organization. The second was a poll question, and the third highlighted the results of the poll and included a pie chart indicating where farm bill dollars are allocated.
Fifteen county Farm Bureaus from across the nation were selected to present a display of their winning activity at the AFBF annual meeting.
