Nominations are now being accepted for the 2011 North Dakota Farm Bureau Cultivation Award.
“The purpose of the award is to honor individuals and families who have made significant contributions to the agriculture industry and who serve as advocates for agriculture,” said NDFB Young Farmer and Rancher Committee chairman Lucas Lang.
Any individual or couple actively involved in North Dakota agriculture is eligible, regardless of age or Farm Bureau membership.
Nominations can be made by any NDFB member. A link to the nomination form can be found on the YF&R page. Nominations are due by September 1, 2010.
Nominees will be asked to fill out a short information sheet once their nomination is received.
Finalists, chosen by the NDFB YF&R Committee, will receive an all-expense paid trip to the 2011 YF&R Leadership Conference at the Best Western Seven Seas, Mandan, on January 22, to participate in a panel where they will be judged on their contributions to agriculture and communication skills. The winner will receive a generous prize package.
