"Anna is a wonderful student who will do amazing things after graduation,” said NDSU Collegiate FB advisor Alisha Nord. “She is kind, always has a smile on her face and has a strong work ethic. We know Anna will excel in representing the state of North Dakota when she competes at the national meet in March.” Lemm is an agriculture communications major at NDSU.

The Discussion Meet helps participants develop their ability to generate meaningful discussion in a committee-like setting. The topic students discussed was how Farm Bureau can build on collaborative relationships to combat nationwide crises like opioid dependence and addiction and mental health issues.

As the winner, Lemm received $500 and will travel to Louisville, Kentucky for the American Farm Bureau Collegiate Farm Bureau Meet during the AFBF 2020 Young Farmer and Rancher Leadership Conference, March 13-16, 2020. One representative from each state is allowed to participate in the national competition.
