NDFB gears up for annual meeting

Topic: Events

As a true, member-driven organization, NDFB voting delegates will come together at the NDFB Annual Meeting, November 9-10, 2018 in Bismarck at the Ramkota Hotel and Conference Center. County Farm Bureaus are represented by voting delegates. During this time, voting delegates discuss and vote on policy that will guide NDFB during this next legislative year.

“Farmers and ranchers play a vital role in North Dakota’s economy,” said NDFB President Daryl Lies. “This is one of my favorite times of the year — being able to see an idea originated at the county level and turned into NDFB policy. It’s the very policy that will direct NDFB locally and nationally.”

NDFB’s theme for this year is “We Advocate, Educate and Save You Time.”

“We work every day to monitor state and national regulations. We continuously are watching out for our members. Farmers and ranchers work long hours and we want to help save them time by advocating and educating on their behalf,” Lies said.

The NDFB Opening General Session begins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9. Saturday afternoon will include district elections and the NDFB Collegiate Discussion Meet. The winner of the discussion meet will compete in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the 2019 Farm Bureau FUSION Conference.

The NDFB Annual Meeting will conclude Saturday night, with a banquet and guest speaker Dr. Sara Place, Senior Director of Sustainable Beef Production Research at NCBA.
