NDFB welcomes Niketa Kusler to staff

Topic: Leadership

Bismarck, N.D. – NDFB is pleased to announce that Niketa Kusler has joined the organization as Assistant Treasurer Trainee, effective October 1, 2025. Kusler will train alongside Val Gordon, who plans to retire in 2026 after years of dedicated service to NDFB. Following Gordon’s retirement, Kusler will officially assume the role of Assistant Treasurer.

Kusler brings a strong financial background to NDFB. Most recently, she served as Controller for Suite Shots & Kingpinz. Prior to that, she was Controller for Advanced Business Methods for eight years. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance.

An active member of the ND CPA Society, Kusler has also been involved with the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo (FMWF) Chamber of Commerce in various committees and previously served on her church’s finance committee.

“I am looking forward to learning as much as I can while using my skills to help make an impact and help NDFB grow,” Kusler said. “I’m so excited to train with Val and soak up as much knowledge from her years of experience as I can so we can have a seamless transition.”

Jeffrey Missling, NDFB’s Executive Vice President and CEO, expressed his excitement about welcoming Niketa to the team. He emphasized that her experience and enthusiasm will help ensure a smooth transition as Val approaches retirement. “We are confident that Niketa’s skills and fresh perspective will help continue the strong legacy Val has built over the years,” said Missling. “We look forward to the contributions she will make in serving our members and advancing NDFB’s mission.”

Originally from Aberdeen, S.D., Kusler came to the Fargo-Moorhead area to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM). She currently lives in Fargo with her three daughters.
