Once in a lifetime

Never in my life did I think that a world pandemic would prevent me from going through life experiences. When I heard the news about the national Young Farmer and Rancher Conference getting canceled, my heart sank. This would have been my first national conference and I was beyond excited to attend.

Despite the situation, five of us from the Dickinson State Collegiate Farm Bureau decided to hop on the plane to Louisville, Kentucky. Though we were not certain of our plans, we knew we could find some cool things to do. Little did we know that we were about to have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We made some phone calls to various places with no luck. Then, we got in touch with the Kentucky Farm Bureau. What better way to substitute a Farm Bureau conference than with the local Farm Bureau! We were fortunate enough to connect with the Young Farmer and Rancher Director, Jackson Tolle.
