Red River Valley Fair features county FB building
Don't miss Cass County Farm Bureau's Ag Education Center at the Red River Valley Fair going on through Saturday, July 17 in West Fargo.
Featured this year is the Minnesota Farm Bureau (MFB) Foundation's Ag Cab Lab – contained in a Case IH tractor.
The Ag Cab Lab – Tractor places viewers “at the controls” for various on-farm jobs.
Inside the tractor cab are 11 - 90 second video clips on a touch screen monitor where “drivers” choose topics such as tractor controls, using GPS and auto steer, how a tractor operates, corn production, soybean production, cutting hay, baling hay, chopping hay, bagging round bales, using a front-end loader, using a roto-mixer and feeding livestock.
While “driving,” viewers sit in the seat, move the levers and push the pedals while watching different farm video segments. The cab is outfitted with a 37” flat screen monitor on the inside of the cab to simulate being out on the farm and a 32” flat screen monitor outside of the cab for other viewers to see and hear.
