Video contest winners announced
Two winners have been chosen in the North Dakota Farm Bureau Promotion and Education video contest. The theme of the contest was “I am Agriculture.” The purpose of this contest was to have people show how agriculture affects their lives.
“Everyone is affected by agriculture every day, even if they aren’t a farmer or rancher,” said NDFB’s Director of Development Joey Tigges. “We got a ton of great stories about how people are affected by agriculture every day!”
The winners will each receive $250. One winner was picked on how many likes and shares the video had from the general public and that winner was David Hagert from Grand Forks, N.D. His video showed Hagert Farms from the past to the present and depicted power used in farming as it evolved from horses to horsepower. The other winner was handpicked by the Promotion and Education committee and that winner was Evan Tumey from Rolette, N.D. His video showed how agriculture impacts people in his community, from the local farmer to the consumer.
